Introduction of DEDO Foundation and All for family (VPR) nonprofit organization – as Slovak partners
Let me introduce The SOLACE-CEE Team! This project, running until the end of October 2027, is a three-year initiative aimed at transforming integrated health and social services in Central and Eastern Europe.
We are proud to be part of this project! For our organization, this is a unique opportunity to establish a completely new approach for traumatized individuals in Košice and Prešov.
SLOVAKIA – DEDO FOUNDATION
Looking at our digital diary, I would like to summarize what we have achieved so far. We are very happy to have established the Steering Commitee, the Project Management Team, and the Communication Team, as outlined in the project proposal.
Experience has shown that it is best to hold these team meetings online regularly—always at the same time—on a monthly basis. Additionally, we have had two in-person meetings: the Kick-Off Meeting in October in Košice and the Innovation Team Meeting in December in Budapest, as shown in the photos.
We have also set up an unofficial Financial Managers’ and Accountants’ Team. This team primarily works via email, receiving tasks as needed. We have already prepared an internal monitoring report on spending and FTE fulfillment for Q4/2024 and plan to repeat this process quarterly.
We have successfully submited our first four deliverables. This was a challenging process, but it allowed project partners to get to know each other much better. Although it was not mandatory to share the deliverables with all partners before submission, we decided to do so within the consortium to ensure alignment and collective approval. This was our first major collaborative effort, and we are glad you appreciated it!
Currently, we are working on the Questionnaires, the Communication Plan, and the Progress Report Document. One of our biggest challenges now is seƫng up the Advisory Board. We truly appreciate that our partners — including those from non-participationg countries—along with the umbrella organization FEANTSA and our Project Officer from the European Commission, are interested in contributiong to this board!
SLOVAKIA – ALL FOR THE FAMILY (VPR)
We are working hard to connect and inform the wider public, municipalities, policymakers, sponsors, and foundations involved in supporting the most vulnerable populations. Our goal is to promote Housing First, Data First, and Job First values—highlighting why they are essential and beneficial for society.
At the end of 2024, we summarized key aspects of our work in the following documents:
- Management and Contingency Plan
- Quality Assurance
- Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
- Exploitation and Sustainability Plan
Some of these documents are available in local languages, while all are written in English. Some materials are public, while others are sensitive. If you are interested, we are happy to share what we can!
As part of our daily work, we have been searching for a suitable and available space for the past four months—one that meets the needs of both our clients and our integrated health and social services. This process involves a deep analysis of location and regulations, understanding client needs, and recruiting both medical and non-medical staff. It is a fascinating and meaningful journey, but also a significant challenge!
