We Have Opened the First Integrated Health and Social Services Centre in Slovakia

DEDO Foundation, together with the organisations in its network — All for family (VPR), Dorka Bags, n.o., and Dorka, n.o. — has opened a unique Integrated Health and Social Services Centre at the Polyclinic Sever in Košice. The centre connects medical and psychological care with social, legal, and employment counselling, as well as housing support for anyone who needs it — FREE OF CHARGE,  FREE OF JUDGEMENT, FOR EVERYONE.

Coordinated Support for People in Difficult Life Situations

“The vision of comprehensive care in one place has become a reality,” says Alena Vachnová, Chair of the Board of DEDO Foundation. “We have long observed that people in tough life situations need much more than a single service — they need housing and coordinated, complex support provided at the same time, support they can rely on. That is exactly why this Integrated Services Centre was created.”

The centre was launched as part of the international project SOLACE-CEE, led by DEDO Foundation, and responds to the needs of people who often find themselves on the margins of society, facing housing instability and social exclusion.

“People experiencing homelessness often suffer from multiple chronic illnesses as a result of homelessness itself, with their health resembling that of someone 20 years older. Long-term homelessness also causes premature death — often before the age of fifty,” explains Viktória Rusňáková, Chair of the Board of All for family (VPR).

The medical services are currently fully contracted with all health insurance companies, and Všetci pre rodinu — the organisation overseeing these services — is an officially registered healthcare provider.

What Services Do We Provide?

More than 15 specialists work behind the integrated services, offering:

  • healthcare services including a general practitioner and accompaniment to specialists,
  • psychological counselling,
  • social counselling,
  • employment counselling based on the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) approach,
  • legal counselling,
  • housing support using the Housing First approach.

Who Are the Services For?

Integrated services are available to everyone, regardless of life situation or health insurance status. We provide comprehensive care that respects each person’s dignity and adapts to their real needs.

We make no distinctions — we help everyone who needs support.
